Join us on Friday, December 19th at 6:00 PM to watch festive pups strut their stuff as they compete for awards like Best Dressed, Most Creative, and Judge’s Favorite, while spectators enjoy the sparkling holiday lights along the waterfront. Florida Surf Film Festival
The Florida Surf Film Festival is proud to present its third-quarter event on Friday, August 23, 2025, at the Daytona State News‑Journal Center. Sunset Concert Series - The Days Between
It's time to be Grateful! The sun will be setting on Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9, as the Sunset Concert Series presents The Days Between Weekend Fest featuring The Cosmic Jam on Friday and The Rap Jacks on Saturday. The Days Between refers to the 9 days between Jerry Garcia's birthday (August 1) and his death (August 9) and is a term used by Grateful Dead fans to refer to this period of time, particularly as a way to honor and remember Jerry Garcia. It also refers to one of their songs.
The Cosmic Jam hails from New Smyrna Beach and jams to covers from the Grateful Dead and defines itself as "Where Rock And Jam Band Worlds Collide."
The Rap Jacks were formed in the heart of Central Florida, in the Orlando area, and have become a local favorite and a powerhouse in the Grateful Dead tribute world.

Elevate Daytona

These are just a few of the topics to be presented at this year’s Elevate Daytona Beach presented by AdventHealth, scheduled for Thursday, August 7, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the News-Journal Center on Beach Street.
News-Journal Center doors will open at 5pm for a social hour with a brand new feature, the Elevate Expo: A Nonprofit Showcase. Theaters doors will open for seating at 6pm. Elevate Daytona Beach will begin promptly at 6:30pm.
